Al-Khawarizmi institute of computer science (KICS), UET Lahore is looking for
qualified and skilled resources for the vacant research positions for the ongoing
research projects.
Job requirements and other details are as follow:
Position:
Research Officer (2 positions)
Lab:
High Performance Computing and Networking Lab (HPCNL)
Education and Skills Required:
BS/MS degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Electrical
Engineering from a reputed university with 3 CGPA preferably.
At least 1 year experience of Java development and/or web
development (PHP, JavaScript, jquery, CSS, Apache web server,
Tomcat) in Linux environment.
Having working knowledge of Apache Nutch, Solr, Hadoop, HBase,
Hive is a huge plus.
Having one or more of following courses on your credit list will give
you an added advantage:
Information Retrieval (IR), Search Engine Optimization (SEO),
Machine Learning/Pattern Recognition, Natural Language
Processing (NLP) especially Urdu, Cloud/Distributed
Computing, Big Data.
Though mentioned experience is required, individuals with lower
experience may also be considered.
